Baseball Sparklines

I just took a class from Edward Tufte on how to display and present information. Tufte has relatively recently introduced the idea of sparklines (careful, that page has large graphics), which are essentially word-sized graphics that can fit right into a paragraph of text. I'm currently working on adding customizable sparklines for various baseball statistics, including team wins and losses for the season (thanks to sparkline.org's free PHP library). For example, the Oakland A's have made a dramatic comeback since May 29, as can be seen by this sparkline: (through July 28th). The upward wiskers are wins and the downward wiskers are losses. Red indicates a shutout, and the horizontal line under some of the wiskers indicates a home game. From this sparkline you can clearly see how the A's have turned around their season.
